Nancy: Here is a story that I sent to the Dallas Star Telegram. Hope I get an answer or it may be just like the emails you send to me, they just seem to disappear. We did receive your letter today and are glad to hear from you as always.
Editor:
I read in your paper that Lee Corso will be the featured speaker at the Fort Worth, MA3 Kickoff Luncheon. I was one of Lee's High School Coaches in 1949.
Roy French, Harry Lee, Red Tobin, Len Brown and me made up the staff. Len went on to become a Texas Aggie Coach. Joe Brodsky, a former Dallas Cowboy Coach, who may be taught Emmit Smith how to dance, was a teammate of Lee's.
Well, I'm the only one left! My 86th birthday will be on December 21, and is the day befor Lee's talk. I would not want to miss either one. Cross your fingers! I am a Purple Heart Marine Veteran of WWII. Lee and I have always been friends. How can I reach him and tell him I'll be there?
Bill Hecht
P.S. Okay, Nancy, let's see how this flies. We love you! Bill and Katie
